Invited by La Bienal del Cartel Bolivia as a speaker and United States representative, Mercury principal Lucas Roy traveled to La Paz to give a lecture entitled “All We Have Is Now.” BICeBé is a premier international design event in South America, featuring leading poster artists from around the world.
Mercury is excited to announce Folio Author, a plugin for WordPress that allows publishers to create HTML articles and folios directly from their WordPress instance. Working in close collaboration, Mercury and Reader’s Digest launched the 92-year-old magazine’s debut mobile edition with its January 2014 issue. In recognition of the exceptional quality of submissions received this year, the Academy has acknowledged outstanding entries as Official Honorees, alongside our Nominees. With 11,000 entries received from all 50 US states and over 60 countries, the Official Honoree distinction is awarded to the top 15% of all work entered that exhibits remarkable achievement.

The Brothers Mueller exhibited their Viral Wallpaper at the Model Citizens 2011 Exhibition during Design Week at the Chelsea Art Museum along with over 90+ designers from all over the world. It was a fantastic event and Studio Mercury was every excited to see The Brothers Mueller in action. Special thanks to all the wonderful people at Model Citizens NYC without whom none of this would have been possible.
Viral Wallpaper Description:
Part of their wallpaper series, The Brothers Mueller present interactive wallpaper. Today wallpaper has fallen into the background, The Brothers Mueller aim to bring wallpaper back to the foreground. Viral (STD) Wallpaper is a demask print with stylized versions of sexually transmitted diseases. The typical presentation of this piece allows viewers to touch the wallpaper, triggering the viruses to then bleed through the paper as the viewer “infects” the wall with their touch.
