Lucas Roy is a partner and Creative Director at Studio Mercury. He has developed branding systems, advertising campaigns, produced documentaries and architected websites for a wide range of clients spanning from commercial to non-profit institutions. Also working as a photographer for the Studio, his multimedia approach in developing a brand revolves around utilizing all mediums to create a cohesive, multifaceted product. Prior to starting Studio Mercury, Lucas Roy began his career at Weymouth Design in Boston, MA where he designed and oversaw production of annual reports, identity campaigns and advertising. Lucas later received his masters at the Rhode Island School of Design in Digital Media, where he concentrated on film, photography and multimedia installations.

Lucas Roy’s work has been exhibited all over the world and was inducted in the Museum fur Kunst und Gewerbe in Hamburg, Germany and is part of the permeant collection in the AIGA archives at the Denver Art Museum. His work has been recognized in the Graphis Annual Report, Logo, Poster and Design Annual, Blackbook Rebrand and Annual Report 100, Print Magazine, Communication Arts, the 18th, 20th, and 21st Warsaw Biennial in Wilanów Museum in Warsaw, Poland, The Art Directors Club, The Design and Advertising Design (D&AD) Annual, the AIGA 365/31 Exhibition the 3rd China International Poster Biennial in Hangzhou, China and 2010 Mohawk Best of Show. He is also a recipient of the 2006 Sappi Ideas that Matter Grant for his work with CYCLE Kids in Cambridge, Massachusetts.
